This is an awesome cd player. I really can't quite say that much more. The cover slides up via electricity, leaving room for you to place the cd in. The radio works fine, and has at least 20 different slots for stations (I didn't go past 20 after experimenting, but it is possible there are more). You can also hook it up to an MP3 player or an iPod, so that you can play your music through the high quality speakers. I usually don't play my music loud out of consideration for my roommates, but I went ahead and tested it - you can get the music pretty darn loud without saturating the speakers. The remote also works 3 meters + away from the cd player, just so long as nothing is directly obstructing the signal path. I can shoot directions underneath a table and 3 meters towards my cd player from the couch.

It is totally worth the money. I highly suggest that anyone looking for a classy cd player purchases this one. I am completely satisfied.

For a price this low, my expectations weren't high. But it's quite small, very good-looking, and has wonderful sound -- nice and full at low volume levels, plus very good at higher levels. I live in a pretty remote area, and radio reception tends to be iffy -- this tuner does a great job of making the most of weak-ish signals.

The tradeoff is in the controls -- if you like to fiddle with balance, forget this unit. Some things are very intuitive, most not. The remote seems mostly to be good for power on/off and volume changes. Don't plan on reading the clock from farher than 3 feet away from the unit. And I'm glad I didn't buy it for its clock-radio function -- it doesn't seem to be possible to set am/pm on either the clock or the alarm.

But if you just want something that looks good and makes excellent sound, for the price of breakfast for two, this is for you!

We got this stereo around Christmas and have had no problems with it. We use it almost daily while cooking, eating and also at family gatherings. I like other reviewers also dislike the volume being preset so loud when turning it on and only being able to go one way through the presets but it is a minor nuisance. We also like the remote...we have ours on top of our kitchen cabinet(to keep away from small hands)and are able to control it easily. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice look and good sound for their money.

Got this radio (Christmas 2007) for my 11 year old son. He loves it. It still works which is surprising. It is a great price and durable. He can hook up his mp3 to it and play his downloaded music. It has nice clear sound. It fits on nightstand. It looks hi-tech with out the hi-tech price. Great Buy!

I love this! It is easy to use, Plays great, Clear sound, and the remote is a great little helper. I love that it has clear powerful little speakers. I have only went up to 38 on the volume, but it was loud and clear, I would reco this to everyone. I just bought another for my Son and he loves it too........Get one.
